“I can hardly find words to express our gratitude to you! The people who organized this camp are God’s angels! We thank God for such people who do so much for our children.” Alla Semenihina, mother of a child with disabilities
Thank you to all of our friends who made MTU overnight summer camps possible. Our staff, volunteers from 12 local churches and 2 teams from the U.S. served over 100 children with disabilities and their families during two nine-day sessions in July.
Why do we continue doing camps?
Dr. Alexandra, camp director: “If not us, then who? Families with children with disabilities are the least reached with the Gospel in our community. During the year, we offer professional medical and therapeutic services, as well as food and clothing. In the summer, we host overnight camps, the most powerful spiritual outreach to the least of these.”
How was it?
There were awesome Bible programs, fantastic entertainment, tasty meals, and incredible friendships - everything testified to the love of God. The children, moms, and volunteers experienced unprecedented love and grace. Here is a small glimpse into their impressions:
“How will I go back home? Camp is the only place where I am not humiliated,” shared Tonia Omitsinska, mother of two children with disabilities.
“Thank you very much for everything…for finding us, lost sheep, and guiding us to follow you and Jesus. You revealed a different world to us.” Sveta Shish, mother of a child with disabilities
“I am very grateful for my time at Camp. It is hard to put into words how deeply moved I am by what God allowed me to experience there.” Susi Franco, U.S. volunteer
Again, we thank you for your prayer and support.
